Nemu Kurotsuchi is the lieutenant of the 12th Division of the 13 Protection Squad. She is the artificially created daughter of Mayuri Kurotsuchi, a combination of his research in artificial bodies (gigai) and artificial souls (gikon). Petite and youthful, Nemu has black hair with slightly parted bangs and is pulled back into a long braid. Her expression is almost always melancholic, and it is rare to see her smile or show any real joy in her distinctive green eyes.
Zanpakuto
Not much is known about Nemu's Zanpakuto as she usually does not carry it around; however, an illustration in the art book "All Color but the Black" reveals that her Zanpakuto takes the form of what appears to be a thin katana with a green hilt and a seemingly warped guard.

Power and Abilities
Nemu's body was designed to withstand fatal wounds, though she still suffers the pain brought on by her injuries. Nemu is also immune to Mayuri's many poisons. Despite this, she carries around a variety of antidotes to be used as she sees fit. She also holds various poisons and potions derived from Mayuri's research in her own body, making her highly dangerous to those who would eat her or attack her internally. In addition to having superhuman strength, she is also capable of boring through obstacles by rotating an arm at high speeds with the hand functioning as a drill-bit.
